OAK Street Initiative believes creating jobs through improving infrastructure is critical to building our nation’s future.

Improvements to our country’s roads, bridges, hospitals, nursing homes, and affordable housing are needed to create robust, sustainable, and safe communities. Infrastructure improvements also create family-sustaining jobs. Infrastructure funding can be achieved through large scale programs big programs and through smaller grant programs.  Let’s not wait for large infrastructure bills to pass to work with the community and private leaders to create jobs.  Activism is not just giving, but creating opportunity through training and education that target the needs of a community.  Re-thinking how students are taught and how learners learn is instrumental in building a better infrastructure for our commonwealth’s future.
